Prewedding Photoshoot in Paris

A prewedding session (often called an engagement shoot) is a relaxed portrait session for couples about to marry. Paris is the backdrop everyone dreams of — and the session doubles as a honeymoon memory if you’re already here.

Why Paris for prewedding photos

The city reads as romance on its own: the Eiffel Tower lit at dusk, the glass pyramid of the Louvre, the gold of Pont Alexandre III. You don’t need much styling — the locations do the work.

How to plan it

  • Pick 1–2 locations, not four. Two spots well-shot beat a rushed blur of six.
  • Golden hour (the hour after sunrise or before sunset) gives the softest light.
  • Bring two outfits if you like — one casual, one dressy — for variety without changing locations.
  • Allow 1.5–2 hours per location so nothing feels rushed.

If the goal is the proposal itself, the proposal photographer page covers the surprise angle. For the wedding day, see wedding photography in Paris.

What you receive

A curated gallery of edited portraits, sized for prints and social. Many couples use these for save-the-date cards or wedding websites.

Planning a trip built around the shoot? A Paris photo tour can fill the rest of your day.
